ISIS has threatened the United States with more attacks just three days after an ISIS-inspired attacker detonated a pipe bomb in a subway passageway under Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.
The online poster shows a kneeling New York Police Department (NYPD) Commissioner James O’Neill next to an ISIS fighter holding a knife. O’Neill is wearing an orange jumpsuit while the ISIS fighter stands next to him, with New York City as the backdrop.
The message in the poster reads: “We will do more ops in your land, until the final hour, and we will burn you with the flames of war which you started […] in Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Syria and Afghan [Afghanistan]. Just you wait. We are waiting too.”
The posters, obtained by MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute) Jihad and Terrorism Threat Monitor, are just some of the ISIS posters that are released online, making threats against the United States.
One of the more recent posters makes reference to President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
“The recognition of your dog ‘Trump’ (of) Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, will make us recognize explosives as the capital of your country,” the poster reads, along with a picture of a person holding a bomb in Times Square.
The posters come three days after 27-year-old Akayed Ullah detonated a pipe bomb under the Port Authority Bus Terminal, injuring mostly himself. Ullah said that he was inspired by ISIS to carry out the attack.
