During an attempt to subdue and arrest a suspect, an Ohio police officer accidentally Tasered his partner, the Dayton Daily News reported.

While responding to a report of domestic violence on Thanksgiving day, Christopher McClinton, 22, refused to hand over his identification to police officers.

The unidentified officers removed McClinton from the vehicle and tried to arrest him, saying he refused to cooperate.

One officer tried to hold McClinton down, while the other officer fired his Taser gun. One of the prongs of the Taser accidentally struck the other police officer, causing him to fall back and hit his head on the ground.

The officer was taken to Soin Medical Center with a head injury.

McClinton was arrested and charged with obstructing official business, failure to disclose personal information and resisting arrest, according to the Daily News. He pleaded not guilty to the charges on Monday.
