Charity Navigator, the most-used charity evaluator in America, awarded Fisher House Foundation another 4-star rating. This marks the 14th consecutive year that Fisher House Foundation has received this distinction. Each year, Charity Navigator examines tens of thousands of nonprofit financial documents. They use this knowledge to develop an unbiased, objective, numbers-based rating system to assess more than 9,000 of America’s charities.
Less than one percent of the charities rated have received at least 14 consecutive 4-star evaluations.

Fisher House Foundation is best-known as a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. These homes are located at major military and VA medical centers nationwide, close to the medical center or hospital they serve.
Since its inception, Fisher House Foundation has served 305,000 families and saved them more than $360 million in expenses.
Other programs offered by Fisher House Foundation include scholarship programs, a grants program for volunteer organizations with innovative plans for quality of life projects, the Hero Miles and Hotels for Heroes programs, and individual assistance to members of the military and their families during a crisis.

“I’ve seen a lot of charities do a lot of different things for the military, but only Fisher House has focus on the entire family as a unit,” said Staff Sgt. Dale Beatty, who lost both his legs to an IED in Afghanistan. “Because of Fisher House, we were all able to be together throughout my healing process, and it made all the difference.”
