A man was caught on camera stealing two American flags off a Vietnam veteran’s porch and running off with them in Greenville, Texas.
Vietnam veteran Ray Kuykendall told NBC Dallas Fort Worth that he immediately called police after watching the video captured from the doorbell camera on his front door.
A man using his white T-shirt to cover up his face walks up to the front porch, steals the two American flags and runs to the passenger side of a white SUV waiting in the street. The man tosses the two American flags into the vehicle and gets into the SUV before the driver takes off down the road.
The Vietnam veteran said the man who stole the flags disrespected the American flag.
“Not only did they disrespect the flags, but they’re tearing property down and costing money that people have to pay for to get back,” Kuykendall told the news outlet. “I don’t think people should be treated the way that they are.”
