Wildcat Harley-Davidson will host competitive motorcycle ride fundraiser for veterans in financial crisis

September 07, 2017

On Saturday, the military charity USA Cares will host a competitive motorcycle ride fundraiser in London, Kentucky, with Wildcat Harley-Davidson, a motorcycle company in Tennessee and Kentucky, and all proceeds will be donated to veterans and military families in need.

The competitive portion includes a Flags Ride, “where riders will test their navigation and logistical skills in teams of two or more. Teams will have seven hours to collect points from 50 checkpoints within a 70-mile radius of Wildcat [Harley-Davidson]. Routes are not pre-determined; teams will set their own routes to collect the most points possible,” according to the USA Cares website.

The team that collects the most points will win a cash prize. Also included in the event will be a raffle for a new, 2017 Harley-Davidson Dyna Street Bob motorcycle.

After the competition, Wildcat Harley-Davidson will host an after-party with dinner, drinks and a concert by the band Madison Rising.

“The 2017 London Flags Ride for USA Cares is an annual event co-hosted by USA Cares and Wildcat HD to honor and pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country. All proceeds from this event will benefit USA Cares and its mission to assist post-9/11 veterans and military families in crisis,” USA Cares said.

Additional local organizations are sponsoring the fundraiser, including Hill of Beans BBQ, Benchmark Mortgage, DoubleStar, Galls, Community Trust Bank, London-Laurel County Tourism and London Tourism.
