World War II veteran Marine Cpl. Frank Wayne recently celebrated his 100th birthday.
Wayne fought at Guadalcanal, Bougainville and Guam; he fired artillery rounds and .50 cal machine guns
Marines paid him a visit to wish him a happy birthday.
“Thank you, fellas,” Wayne could be heard saying in this video.
“Thank you for your service,” the Marines replied.
It’s not every day you get to pay special veterans the respect they deserve, and the number of WWII veterans who are still alive is dwindling.
This is a beautiful reminder to honor and respect the duty of the U.S. Military, and pay those veterans some well-deserved respect.
