AMN Video: Revolutionary DARI can measure your biomechanics in a couple of minutes

(American Military News)
August 16, 2017

DARI’s motion capture technology platform has transformed biomechanical analysis since the company was first founded in 2007 by two brothers who wanted to take the analysis out of the lab and into the real world.

As opposed to marker-based analysis that requires up to 45 minutes of placement, DARI uses an eight-camera markerless motion capture system to acquire an accurate skeletal model instantly.

Using an eight-camera system as opposed to one camera, DARI is able to accurately capture explosive motions and whole-body data.

The portable system tracks:

  • 21 bone segments and nine joints, with six degrees of freedom;
  • Kinematics and kinetics in all planes;
  • Range of motion;
  • Joint torques;
  • Internal/external rotation at the hip;
  • Shoulder abduction;
  • Anterior/posterior coronal deviation;
  • Neuromuscular engagement, center of mass sway in all planes, and
  • All joints in space.

Today, DARI has solutions for preventative healthcare, rehabilitation, corporate wellness and workplace health, high performance and military, as well as research involving motion.

DARI was recently featured at the ADS Warrior East Expo in Virginia Beach.
