Being in a war zone can get hectic at times, as this reporter saw firsthand when a group of soldiers on foot patrol was hit by a sudden ambush.
The soldiers were on foot patrol in Afghanistan for about six hours with no enemy contact before they were ambushed.
According to the YouTube video, the soldiers were from the 101st Airborne Division and were ambushed in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.
The soldiers immediately hit the dirt and returned fire, but realized they were not in a good fighting position and needed to back off. RPGs and AK rounds were landing close to the troops, but Kiowa helicopters came to help cover them.
No soldiers were hurt during the ambush.
