It’s the most expensive weapon ever built and operationally ready, the target of severe skepticism, as well as one of the most ambitious projects that our nation has undertaken. A project that will supply all the aviation components of the U.S. Armed Forces with a plane capable of practically doing it all.
The great news is that it’s almost ready for war.
The Pentagon’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter fleet has accumulated more than 100,000 flight hours as development of the stealthy new fighter approaches the finish line and becomes the new staple of military dominance.

Lockheed Martin is expected to complete development work on the full Block 3F configuration by the end of the year.
Delivering the full Block 3F would complete the requirements set forth under the System Development and Demonstration (SDD) contract that was originally awarded to Lockheed in 2001.
Simply put, what so many thought was unachievable is almost ready to flood the air forces of the most powerful nations on Earth.
