The annual Warrior East Expo is taking place this week in Virginia Beach, and it’s an exciting time to learn about new products and technology for the military and law enforcement communities.
The free two-day event at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Thursday and Friday is presented by ADS, Inc., a company that provides equipment, procurement and support solutions to the defense, military and law enforcement markets.
The Expo is intended to bring customers and companies together to be able to “touch, try and train,” according to ADS, which also describes the event as the “equal sign” between consumers and products. There are also opportunities to take educational courses during the Expo.
“Warrior Expo is the embodiment of our mission to actively seek out our customers’ equipment and logistics challenges and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions that enhance their ability to complete their missions,” according to ADS. “It is this commitment that has made ADS the world’s premier equipment, procurement and support solutions specialist to the military, law enforcement, first responders and the defense industry.”
This year, retired U.S. Army Gen. Martin Dempsey will be the keynote speaker at Warrior East, on Thursday. Dempsey is a decorated Four Star general, former Army Chief of Staff and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Some of more than 300 exhibitors include Camelbak, DELL, the Navy SEAL Foundation and SIG Sauer.
There will also be a FOB, or Forward Operating Base, on display, as well as a “shoot house” where customers can get their hands on equipment and take it for a test ride.
The full list of exhibitors can be found on ADS’ website, which is also where one can register to attend the event.
According to ADS, the company serves the following markets:
- Department of Defense
- Federal Government Agencies
- First Responders
- Humanitarian Organizations
- Partner Nations
- State and Local Law Enforcement Agencies
- Major Prime Contractors
There is also a Warrior West Expo, which will take place in San Diego in April 2018.
