Jackie Chan may be 63 years old, but in “The Foreigner,” he becomes the ultimate operative on a quest to find out who killed his daughter.
The movie tells the story of Ngoc Minh Quan (played by Chan), a restaurant owner who goes on a revenge mission after his daughter is killed in a bombing by rogue Irish terrorists.
Quan searches for the names of the bombers, but gets himself involved in a conflict with a British government official (played by actor Pierce Brosnan), who may have had some involvement in the bombing.
STX Entertainment’s “The Foreigner” is based on the 1992 novel “The Chinaman” by Stephen Leather.
The film is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on October 13.
