The Pentagon will continue an Obama Administration LGBT pride celebration, and many conservatives are disappointed and claim such a tradition has nothing to do with military readiness.

Nearly 100 members of the group Conservative Action Project (CAP) issued a statement that said “the Trump administration should discontinue funding and directing personnel resources for special-interest events, including LGBT Pride Month events in June, which do not strengthen military readiness.”
Then-President Barack Obama began the tradition in 2012.
The Defense Department sent out a memo on June 2 stating that the tradition would continue, according to a report.
“[The Center for Military Readiness] has learned that President [Donald] Trump has not proclaimed June to be LGBT Pride month, which is good news,” according to Elaine Donnelly, CMR President. “Activists and Obama holdovers in the Pentagon, however, are proceeding anyway, as if the election never happened.”
Some on Twitter encouraged President Donald Trump to “rethink” his position on the tradition.
“Why are you allowing the LGBT event to continue at the Pentagon today,” asked user “MrsJeffS.”
“I’m appealing to you to please rethink your position,” the user tweeted.
