Allegiant Air recently announced its Allegiant Honors program, which provides many free services to active duty members of the military, retired veterans, members of the National Guard, members of the military reserve and their dependents.
For active duty, National Guard duty or reserve duty members, up to three checked bags will be free of charge (under 100 pounds each), and there will be no charge for oversized checked bags.
Members will also be allowed one carry-on bag, within size limits, for free, as well as free boarding pass printing at the airport and free seat assignments, pending availability.
In order to receive these services, one must serve in any branch of the U.S. military and have relevant identification, be active personnel and show a Uniformed Services ID card.
Retired veterans must show valid military identification, including a Veteran ID card, DD Form 214 or state Driver’s License that shows a logo denoting military service.
Dependents must also show a Military Dependent ID Card, and they do not have to be traveling with the active military personnel.
The full list of free services can be viewed on Allegiant Air’s website.
