U.S. Navy Helicopter Crashes In Pacific, Crew Recovered Safely Featured

A U.S. Navy helicopter crashed in the Pacific Ocean Thursday, just 24 miles east of Guam. One air crewman and two pilots were recovered safely.

An MH-60R Seahawk helicopter assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 78 crashed in the Pacific Ocean, but the crew did not sustain any serious injuries. A Dewey small boat crew rescued the crew.

The crash is currently under investigation. The cause of the crash is not yet known.

The Dewey deployed on March 31 as part of a two-ship surface action group.
