Thirty-seven-year-old Green Beret and television personality Tim Kennedy has opted to re-enlist in the army for another term. The re-enlistment on April 9th comes shortly after his retirement from MMA and the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC).
The reality TV star has been vocal in his support for the newest Secretary of Defense James Mattis and National Security Advisor H.R McMaster. He said that Trump’s assignments are what influenced him to continue his career in the Army.
“The military has got their teeth back!” he said in regard to the organization of the Armed Forces since the election of President Donald Trump during an interview on Fox News Sunday.
“We have a reinvigorated, hopeful, beautiful military that is proud to be back on the team,” he added.
Kennedy has not always been so outspoken in his support of the current President. Kennedy was adamant in his support of Rand Paul during the elections and remains a staunch Libertarian Constitutionalist.
Tim Kennedy joined the United States Army on January 4th, 2004, and began to serve with Special Forces in 2007. He has deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom multiple times during his career.
