While naked, a disabled Army veteran fought off an intruder who tried to break into his Clayton County, Georgia home on Easter Sunday, Fox News reported.
Greg Silvery ran out of his bedroom naked when he heard his son screaming for help. His son was pushing against the front door to keep it closed as a home invader was trying to get in.
The veteran mustered up all of his strength and punched the intruder in the face.
“I saw his eyes roll back and he hit that and he fell back,” Silvery told Fox News.
“My naked behind is coming and then my youngest son has a big cook knife behind me,” he said.
Fearing that the intruder might have a gun, Silvery shut the door, laid on the floor and told his family to back away. His wife dialed 911 but the intruder managed to get away.
“I am sorry he got hurt, but he came in to do dirt so dirt was done to him,” Greg’s wife, Rhonda told Fox News.
It wasn’t until after the attempted home invasion that his son told him that he had no clothes on.
“I saved my family, my wife, my sons and we are going to have family dinner tonight, to celebrate God’s goodness, Easter Sunday,” he said.
