Being dumped in freezing cold water has an incredible impact on the human body. It is paralyzing to both the body and the mind.
National Geographic Channel wanted to test this out. So they called in one of the most trained warriors in the word: Navy SEAL Stew Smith.
They put him through an agility drill and then made him find and fire upon the enemy combatant that was holding a weapon, while 3 others wearing the same outfits roamed the room.
Then, they added a freezing cold tub of ice water that he had to sit in for an extended period of time before he could begin. So Stew uses a technique called compartmentalization to try and minimize the effects.
