The Northrop Grumman EA-6B Prowler is part of a soon-to-be retired group of aircraft that have been serving our country for more than 40 years. Initially developed in 1966, the EA-6B Prowler was at one point the only electronic warfare aircraft used by all the U.S. Military services. Now slated for retirement at the end of 2019, the Prowler is still kicking it in high gear as part of the U.S. Marine Corps team.
Like this footage from an airshow at the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina shows, the Prowler is an integral part of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. Here you can watch an awesome display by the Marine Corps EA-6B Prowler as part of the MAGTAF (Marine Air-Ground Task Force) demonstration, circling the MCAS Cherry Point North Carolinian skies. Close to retirement, but it’s still a warrior.
