Fifteen teams of soldiers from ten NATO nations showed up in Bavaria for a truly interesting competition. For the second year in a row (after a 10-years hiatus), competitors from Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States gathered for a four-day competition that tested multinational sniper squads on land navigation, advanced marksmanship, and medical simulations. The European Best Squad Competition competition with over 30 events designed to project a dynamic presence, foster military partnership, and promote NATO and partner nations inter-operability.
In this video, sniper squads from across Europe conduct the High Angle Shot, during the European Best Sniper Squad Competition hosted by the 7th Army’s Joint Multinational Training Command (JMTC) in Grafenwoehr, Germany. The main goal of the U.S. Army Europe competition is to challenge the Allies and partner nations from across Europe to compete and enhance teamwork.
