A Drexel University professor who has previously tweeted “All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide” said he wanted to vomit after watching a passenger sitting in first class give up their seat to a uniformed soldier.
“Some guy gave up his first class seat for a uniformed soldier. People are thanking him. I’m trying not to vomit or yell about Mosul,” Drexel University Professor George Ciccariello-Maher wrote on Twitter.
After posting the tweet, people were understandably upset.
Ciccariello was not punished for his initial tweet about wanting “white genocide” for Christmas. Drexel university released a statement saying his comments were “deeply disturbing,” but said that they fall under the category of “protected speech.”
Ciccariello said that the tweet was a “joke” because “white isn’t a race.”
