Red Flag is the U.S. Air Force’s premiere air-to-air combat training exercise. The advanced aerial combat training exercise often includes participants from United States and allied nations’ combat air forces. The exercise provides aircrews the experience of multiple, intensive air combat sorties in the safety of a training environment, with the purpose of training pilots and other flight crew members from the U.S., NATO and other allied countries for real air combat situations.
This edition of the exercise brings the Alabama Air National Guard F-16 Fighting Falcons and Spanish Air Force EF-2000 aircraft together to take part in Exercise Red Flag 17-2 at Nellis Air Force Base, NV. This video shows flight line operations, ordnance loading, aircraft takeoff and landing during the exercise.
