Ecstatic women have been removing their veils and burning them after their village was reportedly liberated from ISIS.
In the video, a woman can be seen removing her face veil (niqab) with a massive smile on her face. She throws the niqab to the ground and stomps on it. Another woman then picks up the veil and sets it on fire using a lighter.

It is unclear what village the video is filmed in, but it was tweeted out by Kurdish news outlet Rudaw.
Women can also be seen in the video smoking cigarettes as men are dancing nearby.
The video comes the same week that Iraqi and coalition forces attacked Mosul airport, an important step in launching another offensive on the city’s west side which is still controlled by ISIS forces.
Last month, Iraqi forces declared that eastern Mosul was liberated from ISIS.
