U.S. Marines and Sailors demonstrate amazing amphibious landing capabilities with Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) and Assault Amphibious Vehicles at Camp Pendleton, California.
The units taking part in the beach landing are from the 1st Transportation Support Battalion, 1st Combat Logistics Regiment, 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, and Beachmaster Unit 1.
The LCAC is a hovercraft used by the U.S. Navy’s Assault Craft Units to transport weapons systems, cargo, equipment and personnel of the assault elements of the Marine Air/Ground Task Force from across the beach and from ship to shore.
