On Thursday, Arnold Schwarzenegger and President Donald Trump jabbed at each other from a far after Trump criticized Schwarzenegger’s failing Apprentice ratings. Trump, who used to host The Apprentice on NBC for years before taking office, noted how the show’s success tanked when he was replaced. Schwarzenegger, who was once the Governor of California, responded to the President by taking a shot at him via videotape.
“Hey Donald,” Schwarzenegger begins.
“I have a great idea! Why don’t we switch jobs? You take over TV since you’re such an expert in ratings, and I take over your job and people can finally sleep comfortable again,” he continues, before adding a simple “hmm” at the end.
The shot via video was in response to Trump calling Schwarzenegger on The New Celebrity Apprentice “a total disaster” at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington D.C.
“They hired a big, big movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to take my place, and we know how that turned out,” Trump said.
“The ratings went right down the tubes,” he continued. “Mark will never, ever bet against Trump again.”
The President then asked the members of the National Prayer Breakfast to pay for the Governator and his failing ratings.
“And I want to just pray for Arnold, if we can, for those ratings,” he said.
