On Thursday, the Fort Worth Police Department reached out to Wendy’s via Twitter to report that employees at the fast food restaurant refused service to a uniformed officer.
According to KTVT-TV, the employees at the restaurant made eye contact with the officer and then walked to the back of the kitchen and refused to take the officers order.
Wendy’s promptly tweeted back at the police department to tell them that they “are aware of the incident and are abruptly handling the situation.”
After learning of the incident on social media, many people reached out to the department offering free meals to the officer that was denied service.
