Not many people actually want to be put in handcuffs, but St. Louis woman Edie Simms does. For her usual delivery of hand-made scarves and pot-holders to the local Five Star Senior Center, the 102-year-old asked the police to arrest her and put her in the back of the squad car.
Simms reportedly had a blast showing off her cuffs to other cars as they made their way to the senior center, as did the arresting officer.
“We’re more than happy to do these types of things. We love it and we get more out of it than the seniors do,” said Sgt. John McLaughlin.
Simms has no plans to get arrested again, but it sounds like she plans to enjoy life.
