A student, behind schedule for a presentation and unable to find someone to tie his tie, was speeding near his University of Wisconsin campus in a panicked effort to make up for lost time. Officer Martin Folczyk noticed the vehicle and made the routine stop for speeding.
“I have to get a tie tied,” the student said. “I thought my buddy was home but he’s not.”
Rather than laugh at the young man, Officer Folczyk took the tie and tied the correct knot for him while the student located his license and registration. The exchange was captured on the squad car dash-cam.
Officer Folczyk took pity on the student in the end, and issued him a verbal warning. Later, the police chief invited the young man to the police station in order to properly teach him how to tie his tie.
No word on if he made his presentation on time.
