On Tuesday, a Nigerian state official said that the Nigerian Air Force killed over 100 people after they accidentally bombed a refugee camp while on a mission against the terror group Boko Haram in northeast Rann, near the border of Cameroon. The official is helping evacuate the wounded, many of which include aid workers. Major General Lucky Irabor, a Nigerian military commander, has confirmed the incident.
The Red Cross has stated that six of their employees were among those killed in the accident.
