In this video, you can watch some Marine snipers that had info on a Taliban rest area and began laying down some fire. As you’ll hear, at least one Islamic fighter took a round to the back. But, the Marines weren’t safe quite yet. While they were sniping, they found themselves in the crosshairs of a Taliban sniper who began laying rounds very close to these Marines.
One can only imagine the difficulties of trying to spot one sniper from their location without making themselves too visible to the enemy to get a clean shot. This shows some of the uncertainty in war and what our soldiers must go through on a daily basis in order to accomplish the mission.
