Commanded by a U.S. Marine flag officer and task-organized to meet specific threats in an ever-changing world, Marine Expeditionary Brigades (MEB) are made up of 14,500 Marines and Sailors deep Marine Air-Ground Task Forces (MAGTF) capable of conducting missions across the full range of military operations. Built around reinforced infantry regiments and accompanied by composite air and logistic groups, MEBs can function as part of a joint task force or alone.
