Trump On Temp. Halt On Muslim Immigration: “I’ve Been Proven To Be Right. 100% Correct.”

December 22, 2016

On Wednesday, President-elect Donald Trump refused to walk back his plan to press about putting a stop to immigration from muslim countries until the United States can figure out a better way to vet the migrants.

As he walked out of his home in Mar-a-Lago, his resort in Florida where he is stationed for the holidays, President-elect Trump was asked by his reporters about his plan to ban Muslim immigration following yet another terror attack against the West when a Tunisian refugee drove a truck through a crowd of people at a Christmas market.

“You know my plans,” Trump told reporters.

“All along, I’ve been proven to be right,” he continued. “100% correct. What’s happening is disgraceful.”

He went on to say that what’s going on is “terrible.”

“Terrible. Terrible. What’s going on is terrible, terrible. In fact we have intelligence here right now but what’s going on is terrible. Terrible. Terrible,” Trump said.

Following the attack in Berlin, Trump said “ISIS and other Islamist terrorists continually slaughter Christians in their communities and places of worship as part of their global jihad. These terrorists and their regional and worldwide networks must be eradicated from the face of the earth, a mission we will carry out with all freedom-loving partners.”

When asked about his previous statement by reporters outside of Mar-a-Lago Trump said, “it’s an attack on humanity. That’s what it is. An attack on humanity and it’s got to be stopped.”

In 2015 during his Presidential campaign, the Trump team released a statement about his proposed ban.

“Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on,” it read.

Donald Trump included a statement directly from him which read:

“Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine. Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life. If I win the election for President, we are going to Make America Great Again.”
