The home of the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command is Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. However, if you ask one of the U.S. Marines Critical Skills Operators, or Marine Raiders as they’re better know, home is where the mission calls you to be, where danger and uncertainty are the prevalent conditions. Austere, and often, volatile environments, that’s where home is for these courageous Marines.
That’s why mastering the fundamentals of defensive driving and precision shooting in close quarters enhances the overall effectiveness of the individual operator and team, or in other words, increases the chances of coming out of the mission in one piece. Many would think that to live for this is borderline absurd, and that wouldn’t be an inaccurate description, however, that’s what these Marines live, train, and long for. And that’s why they are and always will be America’s 9-1-1 force. Just ask the new designated Secretary of Defense, he’s one of them.
