For new soldiers, you really have no idea what to expect come day one of basic training. You may think you’re ready, but these Drill Sergeants are there to prove otherwise. As a new soldier, day one is very intense mentally and you have to be on point or you will be pushing. Hell, you’ll probably be pushing anyway even if you’re squared away.
The Drill Sergeants job is to train you with discipline and aggressiveness, to get you ready for combat, when that time comes you won’t have someone there to teach you on the job training. This is stage one of becoming part of our elite military, a killing machine, or part of a band, whatever you choose.
