There are all type of shows. Circus, comedians, dancers, cheerleaders, boxing, mixed martial arts, Olympians, and even political ones, all putting on a display to entertain and demonstrate their skills and abilities in order to best the competition. Then there are military shows. Dictators and totalitarian regimes are particularly adept at putting on shows hoping to intimidate both domestic and foreign enemies.
Then there is a Marine Corps show. Although it’s never their intention to wow and impress outsiders, their exercises look like a well orchestrated effort to do just that. In this video, U.S. Marines from Echo company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, and Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One conduct an offensive air support exercise with mortarman and AH-1Z Viper & UH-1Y Venom helicopters during Weapons and Tactics Instructors Course (WTI) at Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range, California. A true thing of beauty.
