Somali pirates make their living taking advantage of cargo ships and other unarmed ships traveling through the waters between the east coast of Africa and India. Their violent antics drive up the costs of shipping by a mind-blowing $6.6 to $6.9 billion dollars each year.
The crimes the commit range from murder to dumping toxic waste into the environment. These guys aren’t anything like the cartoonish and silly characters from Disney’s “Pirates of the Carribean,” they’re cold-blooded killers.
Because of this naval forces from countries all over the world have made it their duty to destroy their ships whenever possible.
In the video below we’re treated with seeing the British Royal navy blowing a Somali pirate skiff to pieces in a magnificent fireball. The pirates are removed from the ship; along with the grappling hooks, RPGs, and machine guns found on board. What happens next can only be described in one word, EXPLOSIVE!
