Landing a helicopter is no easy task. It’s even more difficult when you’re trying to land it on the deck of a moving ship in the middle of the ocean.
This video shows a Uh-60 Black Hawk helicopter being piloted by the fine gentlemen from the Washington National Guard completing this risky maneuver with the help of the men aboard the USS Shoup (DDG-86)
Multiple camera angles are included that let you see the action from the flight deck, inside the helicopter, and even from the perspective of another helicopter far off in the distance. The coordination needed to pull off this maneuver is a testament to our service members.
