A 59 year-old man was charged earlier this month after stealing and shooting a concealed carriers gun at the same man in Overland Park, Kansas.
Ricky Paul Smith was charged in Johnson County District Court with aggravated battery and aggravated assault after shooting the concealed carriers gun.
Police said that Smith was upset that the man had a concealed weapon and decided to take the gun away from the man and then shoot him in the leg.
Both concealed carry and open carry is legal in the state of Kansas.
The gun-owner was then taken to the hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Smith’s bond was set for $10,000.
