An attempted robbery went awry Tuesday night when two armed robbers attempted to rob three people in Plantation, Florida, a suburb of Ft. Lauderdale. One armed robber was shot and killed by one of the three people they were attempting to rob because they had a concealed carry permit.
Two armed robbers were trying to make a conversation with the three people that were sitting in Plantation Multi-Cultural Park around 9:30 pm. The two armed robbers then attempted to rob the three people at gunpoint.
One of the three people that were getting robbed had a concealed carry permit and was carrying at the time. The concealed carrier then pulled out their firearm and then shot one of the attempted robbers, killing him. The other suspect immediately fled and ran off into the neighborhood and managed to elude police.
“I was in the kitchen of my house when I heard four shots total,” a neighbor told WSVN. “The first one sounded like a fire cracker, and the last three definitely sounded like gunshots.”
The concealed carrier wasn’t injured in the armed robbery attempt and is now cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
