The anti-gun Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence released a new satirical ad within the past week saying “guns don’t kill people, toddlers kill people.”
The ad satirically says that there are toddlers killing people often and they need to be locked up and even deported to keep America safe.
The ads description says, “If we really want to keep America safe let’s pass common sense gun laws. Or start thinking of other options – like getting rid of toddlers.”
In the video, there are images and clips of young children with guns in their hands with the narrator saying that there are incidents where toddlers are killing their parents and their family because of the use of a gun and they need to be stopped.
“We need to lock them up,” the narrator says. “Not the guns – that’s just un-American. Round them up. Deport them. Get them out of our country. And keep them away from guns.”
The ad is a part of a campaign named “Toddlers Kill” to mention the issue of accidental shootings involving minors.
The Brady Campaign “sensationalize tragedy to push a gun control agenda” said Jennifer Baker, a spokeswoman for the NRA. “If they were truly concerned about safety, they would be spending their resources on safety and training.”
