One of the most important mantras to follow during any type of training is to train like you fight. The realer your training conditions the better. This is extremely important during military exercises where the fog of war and battlefield stress can turn an unprepared soldier into a confused and ineffective team member. It’s important to recreate the battlefield and all the intangavle stresses it creates to make sure your soldiers are prepared for the worst case scenario.
Given that the Soviet Union was one of the most despised enemies never faced directly in the battlefield, it’s fitting to use their old equipment during live fire exercises. Watch NATO and U.S. forces practice live fire exercises with soviet tanks and rocket launchers for maximum authenticity and explosive power.
