Check out this awesome video to see Marine Corps UH-1Y Venom door gunners light up the Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range in California.
In the video, Crew Chiefs from the United States Marine Corps conduct a live fire exercise from the UH-1Y Venom platform, lighting up Chocolate Mountain in California.
The purpose of this kind of exercise is to hone skills such as firing and engaging targets from the aircraft they are on. Another purpose is to communicate and work with the pilots of the aircraft so more accurate support can be provided to troops on the ground.
You do not want to be an enemy on the ground when these guys are in the air.
Check it out!
