Mahgen Merriott and Robert Cooper are unsure whether their baby will be a boy or a girl but they have no doubts that their unborn child will be an American patriot. The couple were visiting their doctor for a routine sonogram appointment when they were given the surprise of a lifetime. Their baby was sleeping in Merriott’s womb when they arrived for the appointment so they woke the baby so that they could take some necessary pictures.
To their surprise the baby woke up, turned right to the camera, and saluted its parents. Cooper, a former Marine was shocked and delighted at the unborn child’s response. Merriott told reporters that everyone in the room was momentarily shocked then burst out in laughter.

The couple took photos of the sonogram home to hand on their wall and honor members of their families that have served in the military.
