LT COL Nicole Malachowski of the 333RD fighter squadron tells us of her experience of becoming the first female U.S. Air Force Thunderbird Aerobatic Pilot.
The Thunderbirds Squadron tours the United States and the world, performing aerobatic formations and solo flying in specially marked aircraft. It is one of the oldest squadrons in the Untied States Air Force. This means they have quite a bit of experience and are the best at doing what they do.
Malachowski also has quite a bit of experience under her belt. She tells us of the long and arduous path that she took to make history. She also tells the touching story of meeting female pilots from WWII and how they inspired her to follow her unlikely career path.
