In an ISIS-style propaganda video, titled “Steadfastness 2,” Iranians can be seen working together carrying an Iranian flag and then sinking an American naval fleet with a massive tidal wave.
The clip, which looks professionally produced and “Bollywood-like,” was produced by Organization of Islamic Information, an office under the supervision of the country’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei, according to Middle East Media Research Center (MEMRI).
The video starts off with a boy playing soccer on a beach until he sees an airplane shot down by American warships. The boy then runs back towards the shore.
Iranian men, distraught by the destruction of the American warships, appear and begin wielding and waving around an Iranian national flag. A song breaks out and the men advance towards the beach as the American warships approach land.
One of the men begins singing “If you step over me, I will break your legs into pieces.” They got shot at by an American warship but come out unscathed as they run through the smoke left behind by the American round.
The men run towards the beach and plant the flag securely in the ground, forming a massive tidal wave that destroys the naval fleet.
At the end of the clip, an American flag can be seen burning in the water.
The video appears to be a response to the 1988 incident involving Iran Air Flight 655, which was accidentally shot down by the US military, killing 290 people. In the video one of the ships sinking was the USS Vincennes, which was the Navy Guided Missile Cruiser that shot down Iran Air Flight 655.
Last week, footage was released of four Iranian ships conducting a high speed intercept of American warship, the USS Nitze near the Persian Gulf.
