[UPDATE: 6:00 pm EST]:A 14 year-old teenager shot and killed his father, Jeffery D. Osborne just a few miles from where the elementary school is before going to the elementary school and shooting and injuring 2 students and one teacher, officials said at a news conference.
A female teacher was shot in the shoulder and is in good condition at AnMed. A male student shot in the foot has been discharged from AnMed Health and another male student was shot in the leg and flown to the Pediatric Center at Greenville Health System, Capt. Garland Major of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office said.
The shooter never entered the school building. The incident occurred on the playground, said Keith Smith, Deputy Chief with Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. The teenager used a handgun in the shooting.
Terrorism has be ruled out as a motive, officials said.
Police officials said that a suspect is in custody after a school shooting at Townville Elementary School in South Carolina.
Police officials say that the shooter in custody was a teenager but they did not provide any additional information.
Armed police officers arrived on scene around 2:00 pm.

Two students were shot and one adult was found dead near the school. The injuries to the two students do not appear life threatening Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said.
One teacher was taken to AnMed Medical Center and two students were transported by helicopter to the pediatric center at Greenville Health System.
Students were evacuated from the school and were taken by bus to Oakdale Baptist Church nearby. Officers were walking on the roof of the school as other deputies and officers cleared the building.
