Fall is one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. It’s right after the scorching heat of the summer, and just before the crushing cold of the winter. The Fall season is one where most people revel in refreshing temperatures. But there’s more to the season than great temperatures and anticipation to the Holiday season. It was during a Fall season when one of the most decorated and esteemed forces in the U.S. military was created: the U.S. Marine Corps.
It was on November 10, 1775 when two battalions of Continental Marines were formed in Philadelphia as a service branch of infantry troops capable of fighting for independence both at sea and on shore. With that, the country’s “911” force was born. Now, more than 240 years later, the U.S. Marine Corps isn’t only in existence, it has thrived and evolved into the most dependable and feared military force in the world. In anticipation of the 241st Birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps, we bring this video to “reflect on our history, remember those who have sacrificed, and reaffirm your commitment to the strengthening of our Corps”. Honor, Courage, Commitment, Marine Corps. Enjoy.
