A woman shot and killed a man early Monday morning at a Glendale, Arizona convenience store after that man put a gun to her head.
Carol Miracle, 23, was stopped at a Circle K convenience store at roughly 1:00am local time when an armed robber put a gun to her head.
The robber was not aware that Miracle was holstering a gun on her hip.
Miracle unholstered the weapon and fired a single time at the armed robber with the gun at her head. She then left and returned home, which is within walking distance from the convenience store, to call 911.
The armed robber, 27 year-old Frank Taylor was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Witnesses said that they saw the gun being pointed at Miracle’s head and police said the evidence they gathered, such as the security surveillance footage was consistent with the stories that were told by both witnesses and Miracle.
According to court records, Taylor plead guilty to charges of trafficking stolen property.
When the police investigation is complete, the case will be turned over to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
