Watch F-16 Fighter Jet Hot-Pit Operations At Shaw Air Force Base

The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter aircraft originally developed by General Dynamics for the U.S. Air Force. Designed as an air superiority day fighter, it evolved into a successful all-weather multirole aircraft.

In this video, Airmen from the 20th Petroleum Oil and Lubricant Shop quickly refueled F-16 fighter jets on the flight line in “hot pit” operations at Shaw Air Force Base. Hot pit means the aircraft is refueled as engines are still running to decrease turnaround time.
