The Best Armored Tank Crews In The World Gather At Fort Benning To Compete In The Sullivan Cup 2016

The Sullivan Cup is a biennial tussle that determines the best four-man tank crew among 18 teams from the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Canadian Forces, Germany and Australia run at Fort Benning, Georgia. The event is named after armor officer and retired Army Chief of Staff Gen. Gordon Sullivan, with 2016 marking the third running of the competition.

In this video, the North Carolina Army National Guard team moves into the final round with a current first place standing. Here is a highlight of the two Army National Guard tank crews competing head-to-head against the best armored tank crews across the U.S. and Canadian Forces at Fort Benning, Georgia to determine who will win the Sullivan Cup. The competition is both physically and mentally demanding, evaluating competitors in tank crew maneuver, sustainment, and gunnery skills.
