The month of Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims where they commemorate the first revelation of the Quran, but ISIS has used it as a time for attacks. They called for their supporters to coordinate attacks around the world.
The jihadi’s weekly magazine, al-Naba created an infographic lists 14 separate terrorist attacks the terrorist organization carried out in the U.S., Syria, Asia, Africa, Iraq and Europe.
The group boasted about several attacks including the Orlando nightclub terrorist attack that killed 49 people, the 22 people hacked to death in Bangladesh in early July, the car bomb attack that killed six Jordanian soldiers near the border of Syria and one of the most deadly attacks to date of a suicide attack where a truck was packed with explosives and detonated in a Baghdad market, killing almost 300 people.
ISIS gave a breakdown of where the victims came from. The list includes 965 Kurds, 1,988 Shiites, 285 Christians and 580 Syrian Alawites, among many other groups.
The group did not mention the attack on Istanbul’s Ataturk airport where 41 people were killed and hundreds more were injured. Turkish officials blamed ISIS for being involved in the attack.
